Do I have to sign up for all phases of a horse trials?

The short answer is ‘yes’. If you sign up for a horse trials, you are expected to compete in all three phases. However, most of the schooling shows SEDA recognizes and which include jumping elements offer a combined test (dressage and stadium) and/or XCT (stadium and cross country) so that you can only participate in those phases you wish to.
